Oh my goodness!!  Have you ever?  Well we certainly haven't seen anything like this wonderful fabric covered base before in our travels.  We believe it is to hold photos between 2 thin pieces of glass but it can hold anything you can imagine!  Photos, invitations, announcements even your menu for the night.  The gold thread trim is tarnished so we know this is old.  The rosebud tiny trim near the base of the holder is so wonderful.  There are 2 pieces that make up the holding part and that is very tight and in great shape.  10" long 1 1/2" wide and 1 3/4" high.  What else can we tell you?  Just ask!
