Our other one, "Une fourrure est une peau qui change de bete" translates "The fur is the skin that changes the beast." A French friend thinks this is the converse of "a leopard can't change his spots" but perhaps it is closer to "Clothes make the man."  Such conversation pieces, oui?  Even if you do not smoke, wouldn't these be charming on a coffee table or desk?
